Point Loma High School Encourages Participants for its Annual Hungry Dog Dash

The Point Loma High School (PLHS) Cross Country Team’s Hungry Dog Distance Runners present their 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk at 8 a.m., Sunday, February 3 at NTC Park at Liberty Station in Point Loma. Proceeds benefit the PLHS Cross Country Team.

Whether you are a serious distance runner or a casual weekend warrior, you’re invited to join in on the fun to enjoy the flat fast 5K run/walk on one of San Diego’s most beautiful waterfront parks. Dogs and strollers are allowed and encouraged. For the serious minded, the run takes place at a USAT&F certified course and is a sanctioned event.

Runners enjoy a flat course that is a USAT&F certified course.

The event will include a PLHS Club Carnival and Community Vendor Village, music and entertainment. All participants will receive a Hungry Dog Dash T-shirt, as well as goodie bags and dog tags. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each division, as well as top male and female finishers.

Proceeds from this event will help the team’s booster club provide travel expenses and registration fees for special meets as well as defray equipment costs. Every team member competes in league events.
