Breakout British musician Ben Howard continues to bask in praise for his first U.S. release “Every Kingdom,” out now on the taste-making independent label Communion Records (brainchild of Mumford and Sons’ Ben Lovett). “Every Kingdom,” which debuted Top 10 on the U.K. charts and is now certified Gold, received high praise from the British press and influential stations such as BBC Radio1. Additionally, the album garners attention from The New York Times who explains, “Howard’s songs…cascade from his fingers, gathering words and melodies as they go, carrying his reedy, tremulous voice as their crescendos surge.” Furthermore, NY Daily News lauds the record as “fired by flinty textures of guitar,” while Philadelphia Inquirer explains it as “touched by tender lyricism.”

You can catch Howard in concert at the Loft at UCSD in La Jolla, 8 p.m., Saturday,  June 2.  Tickets are a mere $12.00 advance and $15.00 at the door.  For information and  tickets, visit http://www.artpwr.com/events/935.
