Sophie’s Gallery & Gift Shop, operated by St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center, is hosting the Wings & Snow: Dreams Take Flight holiday art show from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 9at the gallery in Downtown El Cajon (140 E. Main Street, El Cajon, CA 92020).

Wings & Snow is the gallery’s annual holiday show, and this year’s show represents dreams coming to life. The show will feature a collection of angel wing-shaped pillows— each piece representing a dream that takes off as angelic, handcrafted home décor in color palettes of ethereal, wintery blues, and warm, glowing neutrals. Artists explored different sewing techniques, materials, and tools, including hand-dyeing fabric, using patterns, machine and hand sewing, and cutting skills.

Select art from previous Sophie’s shows will also be available for purchase.

Guests can shop through the gallery to purchase holiday gifts or adorn their homes with these comforting art objects, lovingly sewn by artists at Sophie’s Gallery.  They can also shop through the gift shop’s hand-made clay angel wing ornament and jewelry collections, unique gifts and crafts, holiday decorations, and a curated collection of wing-themed ornaments. Select art from previous Sophie’s shows will be available for purchase as well.

The Wings & Snow piece will be on display from December 9, 2022 through January 9, 2023. Sophie’s Gallery and Gift Shop is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, please visit https://stmsc.org/programs/specializations/sophies-gallery/
