Mission Hills’ Residents Opens New Business

Left to right are Jim, Stephen and Donna Schultz of Mission Hills Books & Collectibles.

There’s an exciting new addition to Mission Hills, thanks to Stephen and Donna Schultz and their son Jim. The sign at the entrance says, Mission Hills Books & Collectibles. What it doesn’t state is that there’s a lot of history to the books that line the shelves, and that there are exciting events to be held at this location.

The first event is a gingerbread house workshop that will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, December 1. Donna Schultz will be guiding a maximum of ten participants through assembling and decorating the houses. Cost of the workshop, which includes all the materials, plus tea and refreshments, is $25 per person. Reservations are required by emailing Donna at dschultz@sandiego.edu.

This is just the beginning of many events that will take place at Mission Hills Books & Collectibles, including book signings, group meetings and lectures. Stephen, Donna and Jim, residents of Mission Hills, are looking forward to seeing neighbors and guests visit their store, and sharing more about their plans for Mission Hills Books & Collectibles, located at 4054 Goldfinch Street. For hours and more information, call (619) 550-7749.
