Mission Hills Student’s Pie is Featured at Lazy Acres

Lazy Acres Mission Hills recently featured a very special pie. Grant K8 student Cassidy Watelet won first place in the 2018 4th of July Pie Contest, hosted by The Mission Hills Town Council at the Concert in the Park summer series. The winning pie was sold at Lazy Acres during the last week in January in celebration of National Pie Day. Inspired by New York City’s Milk Bar and their famous “Crack Pie,” this pie featured an oatmeal cookie crust with a buttery, sugary filling, and hand-piped cinnamon whip cream on top. Congratulations Cassidy!
