North Coast Repertory Theatre Presents Tuesday Night Comics
Tuesday Night Comics is arguably the funniest night of comedy in San Diego. Mark Christopher Lawrence taps into his extensive list of talented comedian friends and shares the North Coast Rep stage with them. The show, to be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, is comprised of talent from all over the country with late-night television credits as well as credits from Comedy Central, HBO, and Showtime.
The line-up includes Mark Christopher Lawrence; Tony Calabrese, headliner; James Hancock, feature performer; Brendan Jay, opening act; and Ash Foster, musical act.
Christopher Lawrence is an international headliner who has worked with Robin Williams, Jerry Seinfeld, Sinbad, Rodney Dangerfield, and Jeff Foxworthy, as well as having headlined clubs and colleges all over the USA and Canada. Mark’s most recent television credits include his series regular role as Big Mike on the NBC series “Chuck.”
A native San Diegan, Tony Calabrese has been performing comedy since 1995, specializing in corporate events and as a master of ceremonies and auctioneer for charity benefits. He talks about life, marriage, kids, grandkids, and the trials and tribulations of not staying in top physical condition. Calabrese won the “Ultimate Laff-Down” at Flappers Comedy Club and is a two-time finalist in the World Series of Comedy in Las Vegas.
James Hancock is an actor, comedian and host living in San Diego. He’s been awarded multiple residencies in NYC, names one of Philly’s 10 funniest people and won South Jerseys funniest person contest. Derived from his multicultural upbringing and unique experiences, he uses comedy to show people of all backgrounds and ethnicities that no matter what color you are, we all laugh the same.
Brendan Jay joined the Navy and is currently stationed in San Diego, CA where he features as a stand-up comedian, celebrity impressionist and voice actor. He’s performed all over Southern California, Las Vegas and Florida. Jay brings that Jim Carrey energy to the stage acting out spot on impressions of celebrities combined with playful observations on dating and military life.
Ash Foster grew up performing all around San Diego. You can find her singing with multiple projects such as The Mondaze, The Gray Kats, as well as performing solo. She also hosts several events with House Concert Series and Make Music Day.
