San Diego Botanic Garden Holds its Annual Fall Festival
Experience the essence of autumn and the beauty of nature at San Diego Botanic Garden’s Annual Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, September 21.Held at the lush 37-acre garden in Encinitas, this festival will offer a unique blend of seasonal activities, family-friendly fun and educational experiences.
- The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. with a lively performance by Billy Lee and the Swamp Critters. Known for their unique blend of “gumbo jazz” and vintage swing, Billy Lee and his band bring upbeat music and high-energy performances perfect for all ages to dance and enjoy.
- Enjoy a captivating live Japanese Kamishibai storytelling performance at 11 a.m. by Walter Ritter, featuring stories of autumnal adventures. This traditional Japanese art form combines narration with illustrations revealed from a small wooden box, creating a mesmerizing and joyful experience that captures the essence of fall.
- Enjoy fall-themed crafting for kids and adults to unleash their creativity and take home a memorable piece of the Garden. Little adventurers can also explore Hamilton Children’s Garden, where they can climb in Toni’s Treehouse, make music with natural instruments, and splash in the Mountain Stream.
