21st Annual Harvest for Hope Raises Funds Supporting Children Fighting Cancer
The Emilio Nares Foundation (ENF), a non-profit supporting families through their child’s cancer journey, held its 21st Annual Harvest for Hope on Sunday, September 22, culminating in a truly emotional and inspiring afternoon against the stunning backdrop of San Diego Bay.
This beloved event, as part of ENF’s ongoing efforts to raise awareness during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, featured delicacies from over 25 local businesses, spotlighting not only San Diego’s dynamic culinary landscape, but Baja California’s as well. Throughout the afternoon, 325 attendees experienced a remarkable dining experience, complemented by a variety of spirits that perfectly capture the essence of the region as well as a silent auction, another opportunity to support the organization’s ongoing efforts.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, the Emilio Nares Foundation exceeded its fundraising goal, making this year’s event the most successful to date. At the event, the Foundation was honored with the County of San Diego’s Live Well Designation, and September 22 is now officially recognized as Emilio Nares Foundation Day.
Every dollar raised directly supports the Foundation’s mission to provide lifesaving services, free of charge, to children battling cancer and other serious illnesses. With continued community support, the Emilio Nares Foundation will keep offering families the invaluable gift of hope.
