Spread Holiday Cheer at the East Village Tree Lighting & Holiday Market
Kick off the holiday season at the annual free community event featuring festive holiday vendors, live local entertainment, moments with Santa, activities for the kids, and a traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony.
East Village Association is ready to usher in the holidays with the return of the neighborhood’s cherished tradition, the Annual East Village Tree Lighting and Holiday Market to take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, November 30 at Quartyard and 13th Street. Friends, family and the community are invited to mark the start of the holiday season with a magical evening that will ignite the community’s holiday spirit. Featuring a curated holiday market by San Diego Markets, live music, delicious bites and sips, fun activities for the kids, a tree lighting ceremony and of course, a chance to snap a picture with Santa. East Village will be lighting up the evening with holiday cheer galore.
At 6:45 p.m., join the East Village Association and San Diego’s as they officially ring in the holiday season with a traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Plus, throughout the evening, guests can explore the enchanting holiday market, expertly curated by San Diego Markets, featuring a delightful selection of handcrafted gifts perfect for festive shopping.
As live music fills the air, shoppers can discover unique offerings including holiday-themed bandanas and custom collars for pets, complete with matching items for their owners from Barks & Crafts. Additionally, Paul Maschka will present his exquisite hand-carved Scandinavian-style wooden spoons, while local creator Katie Morland showcases her engaging travel-themed board game for kids, titled “Time Flies.” While shopping for the perfect gift, attendees are invited to sip on festive drinks from the Quartyard taps and indulge in tacos and other Mexican favorites from El Comal at Quartyard.
