Green Home Showcase Tour Saturday, June 9
Nakhshab Development & Design (NDD), San Diego’s leader in affordable sustainable design and construction, will open up their home and latest project, the Shayan House, to the public on Saturday, June 9th. The Shayan House is a stunning newly constructed 5,000 square foot residence that demonstrates how going green can be affordable and luxurious. The first LEED Certified Gold single family home within San Diego city limits and a 2012 recipient of the California Center for Sustainable Energy’s Energy All-Star Award, the property’s unique architecture was inspired by mid-century modern design and incorporates a wide range of cutting edge sustainable and efficient features.
On Saturday, June 9th from 12 pm to 4pm the public is invited to tour this one-of-a-kind green home located at 3445 Ibis Street, San Diego, CA 92103 in San Diego’s historic Mission Hills neighborhood for free. Tour participants will have the opportunity to:
- · Tour the home inside and out and learn how green design can be achieved while preserving innovative design aesthetics and creating customized living environments.
- · See firsthand how living costs can be reduced while increasing the comfort of the daily lifestyle.
- · Learn about the latest energy saving techniques, products, materials, and design tips and see how they can be implemented in a real home environment.
