Mini-golf to Raise Funds for New Goat Night Pens

| June 10, 2025 | 0 Comments

Horses of Tir Na Nog is partnering with SD Pop Up Mini-Golf for the first miniature golf tournament at their sanctuary! On Saturday, June 14, enjoy an afternoon of family fun, food, and prizes at “Golfing Fore! Goats.” Register as an individual golfer or a pair of 2. Horses of Tir Na Nog is raising money for new, secure night pens for its goats, sheep, and llamas. Over the last few years, winter storms and the nature of the goats have left the night pens heavily damaged. Their goal is to raise $25,000. These pens are imperative to protecting the goats and sheep from predators and the weather.

“These night pens are critically important. Without them, our goats and sheep are left vulnerable.” explained Amy Pat Rigney, administrator of Horses of Tir Na Nog. “Mountain lions and other predators are a concern in our area. The pens that we have now simply will not keep our beloved goats and sheep safe. Golfing Fore! Goats is a fun way for the community to help our ranch residents.”

The event will take place at Horses of Tir Na Nog in Guatay. Tickets are $25 for individual golfers; $40 for pairs: $15 for individual children.  Registration includes veggie hot dogs, snacks, and photos with one of our goats. Register at www.horsesoftirnanog.org. Donations are also accepted.

Horses of Tir Na Nog is the longest-operating equine sanctuary in San Diego County and is currently caring for over one hundred equines. Horses of Tir Na Nog is an adoption partner with County of San Diego Department of Animal Services and works in compliance with American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) Rescue and Retirement Guidelines.
