Tim Henderson of Mission Hills Joins RICK as Associate Principal of Landscape Architecture

RICK, a multidisciplinary planning, design and engineering firm serving the western United States, has appointed Tim Henderson as associate principal of Landscape Architecture. Henderson brings over three decades of experience leading design teams and guiding projects from concept to construction. He has led teams on work for agencies such as SANDAG, CALTRANS, and the city of Encinitas, as well as corporations, developers, and educational institutions ranging from elementary schools to major universities. 

            Henderson joins RICK after 23 years with KTUA, where he served as a senior associate and led design for a wide range of public and private projects across Southern California. He has received numerous accolades for his work, including Honor Awards and Project of the Year awards from the American Public Works Association.

            During his time as a landscape architect, Henderson has been responsible for many projects, including designing the botanical garden at Southwestern College and the Olive Street pocket park.

He has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Texas A&M University

and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

            At RICK, Henderson will lead the Landscape Architecture team, working in tandem with Principal Patricia Trauth, who was recently inducted into the American Society of Landscape Architects Council of Fellows. Headquartered in San Diego, RICK’s landscape architecture team designs corporate and civic projects throughout the Southwest.

While at another firm, Henderson designed the botanical garden at Southwestern College.
