Susan G. Komen 2026 Impact Luncheon
On Friday, March 13 Susan G. Komen San Diego hosted its 2026 Impact Luncheon at Eve, located at 975 Waterfront Place, bringing together survivors, caregivers, physicians, business leaders, and advocates for an inspiring afternoon focused on hope, progress, and tangible community impact. Proceeds benefit Komen San Diego’s Patient Care Center, which provides free, personalized navigation services that help local patients and families access screening, treatment, financial assistance, and trusted information when they need it most.
The program featured a panel highlighting the many dimensions of breast cancer care and survivorship, including young survivor and advocate Alexis Klimpl; integrative wellness leader and survivor Krystia Rae of Lavande Vitality House; board-certified oncology pharmacist Abby Kim, PharmD, BCOP of Prime Therapeutics; and nationally recognized breast oncologist Rebecca A. Shatsky, MD of UC San Diego Health Moores Cancer Center. Following the discussion, young survivor Tanner Roe, diagnosed in 2025 at age 32 and named Honorary Survivor at the 2025 San Diego MORE THAN PINK Walk.
The event also featured a live and silent auction with standout experiences, including a four-night stay at Powder Run Condos in Deer Valley, Utah with two round-trip flights from Alaska Airlines, a staycation at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, a golf outing at Emerald Isle Golf Course, a private yacht cruise on San Diego Bay, luxury jewelry, and the opportunity to buy-in for an exclusive sunset cruise in July with City Cruises.
