Christmas Carol Camp Offered at Mission Hills United Church of Christ

Do your kids know the words to traditional Christmas carols?  If not, here’s an opportunity for them to become connected with some very special Christmas songs.

Mission Hills United Church of Christ, located at 4070 Jackdaw Street in Mission Hills is offering a free after school camp for kids in first through sixth grade so they can learn the songs passed down for generations.  The camp takes place on the first three Thursdays of December – 1, 8 and 15, the early-release day at Grant School – at 1:30 pm.

For those who wish, church administrators will meet the students at the school at 12:30 p.m. and walk them to the church.

Participants will sing carols for the residents at Green Manor at noon on Sunday, December 18.  In addition, they will be invited to sing during the 10 a.m. worship service on Sunday, December 18 – the day church children will present their annual Christmas pageant – but it is not required.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, especially with all the beloved songs that we sing year after year. What better way to continue this tradition than passing these songs on to our children.

In addition to learning these joyful songs, kids will also make crafts, play games, and snacks will be provided.

Christmas carols continue to allow children of all ages to share in a special holiday tradition.
