What is a doll and teddy bear show/sale all about? The Crossroads event brings contests, demonstrations and an international group of high profile artists who share their creations. This lighthearted show and sale is for enthusiasts of all ages, with a sales floor packed with dolls, teddy bears, antiques, miniatures, clothes, supplies, & more: from antique to modern, and the carefully hand-crafted. The Crossroads Doll & Teddy Bear Show and Sales event is Saturday January 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, January 13 from 10 a.m.to 3 p.m. at Al Bahr Shriner’s Center 5440 Kearny Mesa Rd San Diego CA 92111.
The January show in San Diego has been the yardstick that measures what the New Year will bring to doll and teddy bear lovers for over 30 years. For this kick-off event, more than 40 teddy bear makers from around the globe have prepared new creations for months in advance to tempt enthusiastic crowds with their very best work. And since dolls displaying the latest fashions have been around for hundreds of years, and are picking up steam in a new generation, their collectors, admirers and the just plain curious will find dolls from the finest antique to the latest ‘Steampunk’; something for everyone.
