Mark Christopher Lawrence Rocks House of Blues with Booming Laughter
San Diego, CA- Comedian Mark Christopher Lawrence filled a packed room with laughter at the San Diego House of Blues on Wed. January 18th. NBC’s “Chuck” and an amazing comedy lineup brought down the house with funny wit and biting observations on life. Joining Mark Christopher Lawrence was Mr. Punchline Scott Wood, recovering teacher Jimmy Burns, Matin Atrushi, and San Diego’s own DJ Mickey Beats kicking up the tunes before the show.

The red carpet event was outstanding. As celebrity guests arrived at the House of Blues they were greeted by the comedians and were able to take a few photos with them on the red carpet. Celebrity Trainer Fran Cannon expressed how he knew it was going to be a great night just from being on the red carpet. “It’s great being on the red carpet with all the fun and energy… the comedians are all great!”
Not only were the guests ready for the show, the comedians were very excited. On the red carpet comedian Scott Wood talked about his experience coming to the House of Blues. He stated, “I’ve done a few shows in San Diego, and the House of Blues is great. I’ve known Mark (Lawrence) for many years, I’m glad to be a part of this event. Mark is excited, Jim (Burns) is excited, we’re ready!”
The night was one to remember. People came from all over, and many traveled from the Los Angeles area. Also in attendance was Chef Betsy, Doug Cwiak, Esther Williams, Giustino Della, Vedova, Matt Toyer, Pasquale Caselle, DJ James Curry and many more. The crowd loved the entertainment, including the great spirited and fun-filled host David Kamatoy. From jokes about Matin Atrushi’s Kurdish upbringing in the U.S., to recovering school teacher Jimmy Burns’ jokes about his Kindergarten students, the show was full of foot stomping laughter.
Mark Christopher Lawrence put together a great comedy line up. All the comedians were excited to be back in America’s Finest City.
