The Cygnet Theatre Company, one of San Diego’s impressive theatre organizations, presented an excellent version of the old Thornton Wilder classic, “Our Town,” first introduced in 1937 about small town American life. The Cygnet, located in Old Town, San Diego, never disappoints.

Restaurant Chat

Some restaurants that I’ve tried recently have been quite good. The first, and one of my favorites, is Hanna’s Gourmet, located at 2864 Adams Avenue. It is very small, yet, well decorated. The food is very good and inexpensive.  Hanna, the owner, is usually on the premises. She comes out of the kitchen to greet the patrons. Originally from Africa, Hanna is very charming. It’s a great lunch spot.

Another charming spot is in South Park. It’s such a lovely neighborhood. The restaurant is the Vagabond, located at 3310 30th St.  The owner, Jerome Gombert, hails from France. The food is unusual and also tasty.
