This past month, at the intersection of Goldfinch and Fort Stockton and at the intersection of Hawk and Fort Stockton, General Services of the City of San Diego added thermal vinyl, ladder crosswalks for traffic calming purposes. According to Tom Curl, president of the Mission Hills Business Improvement District (MHBID), these intersections have become considerably busier with vehicle traffic and more neighbors are walking to and from the local businesses. The crosswalks are a proactive means to ensure that drivers make obvious stops at these intersections.

Curl says he is grateful to all the organizations who participated in this effort, including the MHBID, Mission Hills Town Council and the local merchants.
