Flag Day Ceremony Draws Large Crowd
Sister Riggs, Sister Tucker and Sister Amendola performed “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and wowed the audience by their rendition.
This past June, the Mormon Battalion Historic Site held a special flag ceremony to retire the colors and hoist a new flag which was flown over the nation’s capital. The event was a tribute to all who have served under the flag of the nation, including the Mormon Battalion and Army of the West. During the ceremony, special recognition was given to The Chosen Few, Gold Star Wives, The Buffalo Soldiers and the Mormon Battalion Army of the West.
