Local Artists and Crafters Share Their Talents and Creations

The annual Mission Hills Holiday Artisan Craft Show & Sale is on again, this year just before Thanksgiving and ready to help you solve all your gifting challenges.

It’s Saturday November 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the United Church of Christ, 4070 Jackdaw St. at Fort Stockton. It’s free to attend.

For many years it was organized by Ginny Ollis, a long-time real estate agent who spent many hours and dollars sponsoring this event for the community.

This year, however, Ginny has unfortunately decided to move to Tucson and has turned over this event to Cheryl Clark of QuirkyStitch.com and Jeannie Needham of NestingInstincts, both long-time Mission Hills residents who love to sew, and have participated in many craft fairs themselves.

This year’s event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the United Church of Christ, 4070 Jackdaw Street at Fort Stockton with returning and new artists, including one who decorates children’s hair.  Meet the artists selling quilts, painting, unique jewelry, photography, woodwork, ceramics, incredible embroidered table linens, pillows, and totes, fused glass, microwaveable bowl cozies and custom bonnets and bucket hats.

A talented young musicians’ quartet has agreed to play.

If you would like to be an artist at the event, email missionhillsartists@gmail.com by Wednesday, October 7.
