It’s time to shake your shamrocks and raise a glass – San Diego’s 29th Annual ShamROCK Music + Beer Festival is rolling back into the Gaslamp Quarter from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2025. This emerald extravaganza will transform downtown into an Irish utopia, packed with frothy brews, lucky fun and of course, some jig-worthy tunes. For nearly three decades, ShamROCK has been the annual beacon of Irish culture, craft brews and lively entertainment, making it a must-attend event for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re a beer aficionado, a music lover or just looking for an unforgettable Gaelic-inspired experience, ShamROCK is an unmissable day of fun shenanigans.

This year’s festival spans four emerald-carpeted blocks and features three dynamic stages. At The Pint Stage, let the sounds of traditional Irish and Celtic music sweep you away while mesmerizing Na Scealaithe Irish dancers keep the energy high between sets.

Prepare for a thrilling musical experience at the Rainbow Stage, where nostalgia meets euphoria. While the Pint Stage delivers the authentic rhythms of Ireland with top Irish and Celtic performers, the Rainbow Stage will burst with energy as the region’s best tribute and cover bands play favorite hits, alongside the city’s finest DJs keep guests dancing all day.

The ShamROCK Shenanigans Stage is the epicenter of fun and friendly competition, featuring free Shenanigan Showdowns throughout the day. Show off your best Irish jig, try your luck in Leprechaun Tug-of-War, or challenge yourself with the Blarney Stone Balancing contest. Other exciting games like Taste the Rainbow and Lucky Limbo await, along with thrilling contests such as Magical Chairs and Rainbow Streamer Relays. A playful ShamROCK leprechaun emcee will host these competitions, offering prizes that will leave your friends green with envy.

Don’t miss the Irish Dance Lessons at 4:15 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. at the Shenanigans Stage. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just someone who dances in the living room, you’ll learn how to hop, turnout, point, and switch in this 20-minute free lesson led by Na Scealaithe (pronounced “Na SHKAYL-uh-huh”).

General Admission tickets start at $39, granting access to the full lineup of live music, games, and festivities. For an elevated experience, opt for the Premium package at $59 or go all out with the VIP experience starting at $89, which includes perks like expedited entry, commemorative keepsakes, drink discounts at the Lucky Leprechaun VIP Irish Pub, and access to all three stages. Lil’ Tike tickets and Military discounts are also available.

ShamROCK supports the Gaslamp Quarter Historical Foundation (GQHF), a non-profit dedicated to preserving the architectural and cultural heritage of the Gaslamp Quarter. Proceeds from the festival help fund efforts to maintain San Diego’s history at the Gaslamp Museum, housed in the city’s oldest building, the Davis-Horton House.
