Susan G. Komen San Diego to Host Inaugural Impact Luncheon

Susan G. Komen San Diego is excited to announce its inaugural Impact Luncheon, set to take place on March 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.at the prestigious Mister A’s in Bankers Hill. This special event will raise awareness about breast cancer while providing crucial resources for those undergoing treatment and navigating difficult times.

The luncheon will be hosted by the dynamic Sam Zien, also known as “Sam the Cooking Guy” (celebrity chef and restaurateur) and his wife Kelly Zien, a breast cancer survivor, both of whom will be honored at the event. The luncheon will provide an intimate setting for board members, Susan G. Komen leadership, survivors, patient advocates, donors, and community advocates to connect and celebrate the shared mission of supporting those affected by breast cancer.

The luncheon will feature the Impact Awards, recognizing outstanding individuals and organizations in the breast cancer community.

The Impact Luncheon will celebrate Komen’s ongoing commitment to driving progress in breast cancer care and research. As the leading organization in the fight against breast cancer, Susan G. Komen is focused on discovering breakthroughs for the most aggressive types of breast cancer while ensuring access to high-quality care for all. This event will bring together thought leaders in the medical, business, and philanthropic sectors to discuss the most pressing challenges and opportunities in breast cancer treatment.

With over 43 years of dedication to the cause, Susan G. Komen has funded life-saving research and provided vital services to individuals facing breast cancer. Since 2020, Komen has served thousands through its Patient Navigation Program, which provides essential support to those facing barriers to treatment and care. This program has been instrumental in reducing diagnosis and treatment delays, improving patient outcomes, and strengthening communication between patients and their healthcare teams.
