The 13th Annual East Village Block Party Kicks Off Baseball Season in San Diego on March 29
Batter up, baseball in America’s Finest City is back! The East Village Association is gearing up to celebrate the start of the season at the 13th Annual East Village Block Party on Opening Weekend, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday, March 29. Taking place on J Street from 6th to 10th Avenues in front of Petco Park, the entire community is invited to come together to celebrate the Padres and everything East Village has to offer. The free family-friendly event promises a day filled with local small businesses, live music and entertainment, a classic car show, tasty bites, local retail vendors, and a variety of other fun family-friendly activities.
Immerse yourself in the Padres team spirit as the streets outside of Petco Park come to life, filled with a wide array of exciting activations and fun-filled competitions. Some notable activities include local sports teams and fitness activations, a Solida Car Club classic car show, plenty of photo opportunities, a variety of local vendors, and musical entertainment from local DJs and bands, including DJ KIMMY, to make sure the crowd goes wild.
“We are thrilled to bring back the East Village Block Party for its 13th year, marking the start of the baseball season in true East Village style,” said Dominic Li Mandri, district manager of the East Village Association. “The Block Party is one of East Village’s most iconic events, bringing our community together in the heart of the neighborhood. We invite community members of all ages to join us in welcoming the return of baseball season, right here in Padres territory.”
Attendees are encouraged to stroll through the streets and savor an exciting lineup of tasty bites and sips from local food and beverage vendors while soaking up the lively atmosphere. Be sure to stop by the Casa Octavio Patio Lounge, where one of the signature drinks for the day will be featured, adding to the day’s excitement.
