Butterfly Jungle is back at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park Through April 12

| April 5, 2026 | 0 Comments

You’re invited to become immersed in the vibrant world of pollinators at Butterfly Jungle, returning this spring to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Once a year, the Hidden Jungle aviary bursts to life with hundreds of butterflies fluttering around lush foliage and flowers. During this immersive 20-minute experience, guests can offer nectar to butterflies, capture stunning photos, and discover the essential role butterflies play in nature. Wildlife care specialists and guides will be on hand to share insights and enhance your journey.

Butterfly Jungle is available now through Sunday, April 12, and the habitat is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, located at 15500 San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido, CA 92027. The Safari Park is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A Butterfly Jungle Safari ticket is required for all guests, including members and children ages 1 and older ($18/person). Children under 1 require a complimentary infant pass (available at the ticket booth). A separate admission ticket or membership is required for Safari Park entry.

Contributions to the Safari Park directly support wildlife conservation around the world, including in the Southwest Hub. This includes efforts to protect endemic wildlife like the endangered Quino checkerspot butterfly and the endangered Laguna Mountains skipper butterfly.
