San Diego, CA (For Release) – “What’s Happening in San Diego,” the new go-to source for local events releases its Labor Day Weekend 2026 show. Hosted by local personalities David Kamatoy and Jordan Jacobo, the program presents a variety of both free and paid events and activities for residents and visitors to America’s Finest City during the three-day weekend. Fans of sports, music, pop culture, and wine will all find something to enjoy.

More than just a run-down of things to do, “What’s Happening in San Diego” takes a lighthearted look through the eyes of two native sons who have grown up in the entertainment world. A juggler, actor, and producer, David Kamatoy brings decades of stand-up experience to the show as well as a knowledge of both TV and radio broadcasting. No slouch himself, Jordan Jacobo is an actor, director, and producer who has worked on both sides of the border. The two are joined by Director and “Voice of God” Greg Schumsky on the broadcast.

Sports events take the top spots for things to do, with Saturday night seeing the kickoff of the San Diego State University Aztecs football season. Baseball fans can get their fill of the Grand Old Game as the storied New York Yankees come to town to take on the Padres, who currently sit in second place in the National League West, in a three-game series.

For those not into sports, the 30th Annual Julian Grape Stomp Festa takes place Saturday at Menghini Winery in Julian. If stomping grapes isn’t your thing, the 2026 Labor Day All-White Yacht Party sets sail on Saturday. Music is also on the fare for the weekend, with a jazz music celebration at the Rady Shell. Finally, geek out at Anime San Diego at the Convention Center

“What’s Happening in San Diego” is presented by Kamatoy Media Group and filmed at Spark Studio Soundstage in San Diego. The Executive Producer is Leo Kats. Check listings for specific days and times of events.
