Mama’s Kitchen is returning to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, located at 1 Park Boulevard

In downtown San Diego, for the 34th annual Mama’s Day fundraiser on Friday, June 6, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Attendees can take in the scenic bay-front views as they taste unlimited bites from participating culinary partners all while enjoying live music, pop-ups booths, opportunity drawings, and memory-catching photo booths. Past culinary partners range from upscale eateries and beloved cafes to local bakeries, breweries and fish houses, all of whom volunteer their time and talent to Mama’s Kitchen.

“The community support we receive from Mama’s Day helps us provide meals to thousands of San Diegans living with critical illnesses who are at a higher risk of malnutrition,” says Eva Matthews, CEO, Mama’s Kitchen. “The likelihood of future federal funding cuts is growing, and up to 30 percent of our budget could be affected. Now is the moment for our community to come together to support life-saving services for our clients and help us build a strong and resilient financial future. The proceeds from a community-driven event like Mama’s Day, increase our organization’s capacity to deliver medically tailored meals to those in our community who need it most. We also get to experience incredible food and beverages from San Diego’s best culinary artists while we raise funds, so it is truly a win-win for all involved.”

All proceeds from the event are funneled directly to the non-profit’s medically tailored meal delivery services, allowing for even more critically ill San Diegans to receive no-cost daily meals. Mama’s Day 2024 exceeded its fundraising goal, raising more than $141,000, which helped provide an additional over 54,000 meals to help feed critically ill San Diegans. This year, Mama’s Kitchen aims to raise $170,000 to help fund 68,000 meals for its clients.

Early bird ticket sales for Mama’s Day begin Friday, April 11 through Friday, April 18 and start at $140. Regular priced ticket sales begin Saturday, April 19. Tickets can be purchased online at mamaskitchen.org.
