Mr. Trustee Scoop Shop in Mission Hills on May 6
Trust Restaurant Group’s (TRG) anticipated creamery Mr. Trustee, led by Executive Pastry Chef Jeremy Harville, debuts on Wednesday, May 6. Located adjacent to Cardellino, TRG’s newest concept in Mission Hills that opened in February, Mr. Trustee will offer rotating seasonal flavors of handcrafted ice cream, soft serve and pints to go from a street-side, walk-up window that will be open daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“Amidst all of the loss and uncertainty, our team at Trust Restaurant Group is eager to add some positivity and normalcy back into our day to day lives, as well as put some of our team members back to work,” said TRG Owner and Executive Chef Brad Wise. “We could all use a little hope and something to look forward to right now. What better way to rebuild community and connection than with a dessert that recalls memories of carefree childhood days and is guaranteed to put a smile on faces with every scoop.”
Just in time for the warmer weather, the creamery’s offerings will feature made-from-scratch artisan ice cream in classic and creative flavors. Guests may have had the opportunity to enjoy various flavors on dessert menus at each of TRG’s eateries in recent months.
Opening scoops will include cookies & cream, malted chocolate brownie, strawberry cheesecake, honey-vanilla, butter pecan, mint chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia cookie dough and berry sorbet. Soft serve options will include Captain Crunch and malted milk. Guests can opt to enjoy their sweet treats in a cup or in one of Harville’s house-made waffle cones.
TRG is currently offering a “TRG Favorites” takeout menu from the Fort Oak location. Chef Brad and the team have crafted a menu of the most popular dishes from each of the restaurants to satisfy guest cravings. Choose from a selection of share plates, pastas, entrees, desserts, signature cocktails and bottles of wine to enjoy at home every Wednesday through Saturday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Orders can be placed at www.fortoaksd.com. TRG is practicing social distancing and proper protocol advised by the Centers for Disease Control for their restaurant operations and asks that guests do the same.
