This March, The Rosin Box Project invites you to step into the heart of artistic innovation with Empower, a bold and electrifying evening of dance that kicks off the company’s highly anticipated 2025 Season: AXIOM. From Thursday, March 27 through Sunday, March 30, audiences will gather at the intimate Light Box Theater in ARTS DISTRICT, Liberty Station, to witness the unveiling of three brand-new creations by San Diego’s brightest emerging female choreographers and a stunning commissioned work by internationally renowned guest artist Natasha Adorlee.

At the forefront of Empower is Natasha Adorlee, an award-winning choreographer celebrated for her groundbreaking multidisciplinary collective, Concept o4. Known for pushing the boundaries of contemporary dance through the fusion of movement, sound, and visual artistry, Adorlee’s work for Empower promises a mesmerizing journey into the avant-garde, where raw emotion meets striking innovation.

Joining Adorlee are two San Diego-based powerhouse choreographers, Bethany Green and Carly Topazio. Green, revered for her poignant storytelling and intricate choreography, will debut a piece that invites audiences to connect deeply with the beauty of human vulnerability and resilience. Meanwhile, Topazio, The Rosin Box Project’s founding artistic director, brings her signature athleticism and bold creativity to the stage, unveiling a vibrant and modern work that embodies the essence of empowerment.

“Empower is not just a showcase of extraordinary talent,” says Carly Topazio, “It’s a celebration of women’s voices, each sharing unique perspectives through dance that challenge, inspire, and resonate deeply with our audience. This is an evening to be moved in every sense of the word.”

Set in the Light Box Theater’s intimate, immersive space, Empower brings audiences closer to the action, amplifying the emotional intensity of every moment. With tickets starting at just $25, this is a must-see event for dance lovers and newcomers alike.
