Home Start, Inc., a nonprofit child abuse prevention and treatment agency that has strengthened and developed San Diego’s families and communities since 1972, will hold its 14th Annual Hallo-Wine Fall Festival from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021. The event will once again take place outdoors on the grounds of the Historic Burnham House in Balboa Park, located at 3565 Seventh Avenue.

Home Start’s Hallo-Wine Fall Festival is held every October in recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and raises funds for the organization’s programs that provide critical assistance to vulnerable children and families in San Diego. Molina Healthcare and Evelyn Favero-Heald are showing their support for Home Start’s cause as the presenting sponsors for this year’s festival.

“I am eternally grateful for the community’s support during this very challenging past year. More than ever local families are hurting, and Home Start continues to be the resource they can count on in times of need. Funds raised from Hallo-Wine will go directly to our programs to support children and families most impacted,” shares Laura Tancredi-Baese, Home Start’s Chief Executive Officer.

Event guests can savor a variety of gourmet hors d’oeuvres, boutique wines, hand-crafted beers, and local spirits, while enjoying live entertainment, a silent auction, client testimonials, and many more interactive games and activities. Participating vendors during the event will include Bivouac Ciderworks, Delli Dip, Bekker’s Catering, PRP Wine International, Sombrero Mexican Food, Wine Guy & Wine Gal, Glendalough Distillery, Solare Ristorante, Bardelli Boards, Latchkey Brewing, Pick Up Stix, and Suja Juice.
