The Padres & Leadership Stability
In June’s Sentinel I wrote about Tom Garfinkel and the Padres. Nick Canepa, whose presence at U-T sports is more important than ever, with Tim Sullivan’s dismissal, has admonished me for misrepresenting his views.
Mr. Canepa says he did not call for a “house cleaning” of the front office when new ownership takes control, that he would never seek people’s firing. Re-reading what he wrote and my characterization of it, I agree.
In my enthusiasm for the Garfinkel front office team I did misrepresent Mr. Canepa’s views. That was my not my intent but that is my error.
