Coronado, CA (For Release) – Budding entertainers, future stars and dedicated performers will vie to become the first winner of Coronado’s Got Talent, a community-focused competition to benefit the Coronado Schools Foundation. The event takes place at Coronado High school on Thursday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m., with auditions scheduled on Friday, February 3, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 4, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. The show will be hosted by Coronado resident Alan Kinzel of Teles Properties. All proceeds from the show will help support programs in the Coronado Unified School District (CUSD).

“I’m so pleased to be able to help support the Coronado Schools Foundation and the amazing work they do for our children.” Alan Kinzel, Presenter of Coronado’s Got Talent

Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF) is a community-based 501(c)3 organization dedicated to supporting programs that benefit Coronado students but may not have dedicated state or federal funding. Money raised by CSF goes toward supplies, salaries, and other expenses that allow CUSD to provide both basic and enrichment courses to students of all ages. Coronado’s Got Talent will directly benefit the children of Coronado through CSF.

All talents are welcome at Coronado’s Got Talent, within the framework of a family-friendly competition. The winner will be selected through a combination of votes from a panel of celebrity judges, audience members and online voters. The panel of judges is made up of former Coronado Mayor Casey Tanaka, Food Network host and chef Melissa d’Arabian, choral and musical director Linda Kullman, and U.S. Navy Commander Michael Cornelius.

““I’m so pleased to be able to help support the Coronado Schools Foundation and the amazing work they do for our children,” says Kinzel, who has one child currently attending Coronado schools and the other recently graduated. “I know how much the Foundation does for the community because I have seen it first-hand with my children. I also know how much talent we have in Coronado, so this event is the perfect match.”

Coronado’s Got Talent takes place on Thursday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m. at the Coronado HighSchool Theater, 650 D Avenue. Tickets for the event are available online at https://www.coronadosgottalent.com/shop, with all proceeds going to Coronado Schools Foundation.
