“Ghost Light Masquerade,” A Hauntingly Popular Immersive Ballet
The Rosin Project (TRBP), San Diego’s premier contemporary ballet company, announces the return of its most hauntingly popular event: “Ghost Light Masquerade.” The fan-favorite immersive performance experience, and San Diego’s ultimate Halloween event, runs from Thursday, October 23 through Thursday, October 30 at The Soap Factory, located at 2995 Commercial Avenue, San Diego, CA 92113.
Inspired by the theatrical superstition of the ghost light—a single bulb left burning on an empty stage to ward off restless spirits—”Ghost Light Masquerade” blurs the line between audience and performer. Guests are invited to wander through a living world of shadow, dance, and story, where every flicker of light reveals a new secret and every path leads to a different encounter.
“Ghost Light Masquerade is unlike anything else in San Diego. It’s part ballet, part immersive theatre, and part gothic fever dream. Our audience doesn’t just watch the performance—they’re inside it, becoming part of the stories as they unfold around them,” says Carly Topazio, TRBP’s artistic director and CEO.
Over the course of seven performances, Ghost Light Masquerade will transform the industrial interior of The Soap Factory into a surreal realm of hidden corridors, flickering lights, glowing stages, and phantoms of the stage. Each guest’s journey is unique: no two audience members will have the same experience.
All ages are invited to attend with costumes, attendees under 16 are required to be accompanied by a ticketed adult. Tickets are available at www.therosinboxproject.com/ghost-light-masquerade.
Ghost Light Masquerade has quickly become one of San Diego’s most anticipated fall events, combining the intensity of live performance with the thrill of Halloween immersion. With only seven performances and limited capacity, the experience is expected to sell out.
